We offer affordable package hunts south of Uvalde near La Pryor in what we believe is the finest season long dove hunting area in Texas. I know that’s bold talk and I know that there are lots of birds around Uvalde, Hondo, Lytle, and Pearsall. There are also lots of hunters shooting those birds, lots and lots of fields planted to attract those birds and there are only so many birds to go around. Those areas are also far enough north to be affected by early season cold fronts. Who hasn’t experienced the here today, gone tomorrow nature of doves ? I’m sure we all have. That can happen to us too but not very often. In fact, when the birds blow out from those other areas, they often end up here joining our large population of local birds to feast on black oil hybrid and native sunflowers, sesame, wheat, milo and dove weed with lots less hunters to pressure them. All of these late arriving birds means our hunts in October, as well as December and January are usually outstanding. Our area is dry too, so waterholes really concentrate the birds, and we have access to lots of them. With the smaller numbers we book on these hunts, we can often put our hunters on a good waterhole shoot during their stay. Lodging, meals, clays and bird cleaning are provided at Rancho Uno Mas which is located just 15 minutes from Uvalde and 45 minutes from Eagle Pass.
Three half days of hunting plus two nights lodging and meals.Sporting clays and bird cleaning are also included.
